Darren Wright & Dave Skinner
Darren Wright and Dave Skinner have a combined 34 years of industry experience, and a creative partnership that has lasted for over 17 years. They have plenty of experience building brands from the ground up. When the NFL was reeling from yearly declining ratings for the playoffs, they helped create the first ever marketing and advertising campaign for the NFL with their award winning work featuring Don Cheadle. Not only did the campaign create a lasting bond with the fans, it led to record-breaking viewership of the playoffs and Super Bowl. Creativity named their spot “Crazy,” one of the top 20 Super Bowl ads of all time.
They also helped transition an old stodgy brand, at&t, into the number one wireless company in the world. The consistent award winning work they did for the brand included a number five ranking in Time Magazine’s Top 10 Everything of 2008 list, for their acclaimed at&t “Scorsese” spot. Now they’re using all of that knowledge and experience to help build an agency from the ground up as two of the three founding members of Leo Burnett New York.
While their primary focus has been on brand building and new media development, they have also written segments for Fox Television’s The Best Damn Sports Show Period, and aided in the development of a pilot for Paramount Television, based on a campaign they helped create for Sony. Most recently they helped launch a new channel for Nickelodeon, and helped the United Nations create a first of its kind marketplace for words designed to turn people’s words of support into real action. The campaign has generated over 1 billion media impression to date, and the UN has made it a permanent platform to generate essential funding for humanitarian aid efforts around the world.
